How Italy scored a stunning comeback to beat Brazil in the World Cup

Italy have secured a spot in the quarter-finals of the European championships after beating Brazil 4-0 at home in a thrilling encounter.

Brazil had led 3-0 before Italy scored their first goal in the 43rd minute and the hosts had the ball for almost three minutes before Neymar converted a penalty from the penalty spot.
The match went through the first 45 minutes, when Neymar was involved in a series of high-scoring chances but his effort was blocked by two Brazilian defenders.
However, the Brazilian keeper, Paulo Ferreira, came out of nowhere and made a superb diving save to deny Neymar from further harm.
Neymar also scored the second goal of the game, firing in from close range from a tight angle, just after half-time.
Brazil were looking to avoid relegation from the competition with a win but the Italians managed to hold on for a comfortable win.
The last time Italy beat Brazil was in the 2014 World Cup semi-final, which was won by Italy by two goals.
