What do you think about the Ronaldo World Cup?

Ahead of this year’s World Cup in Russia, the world’s most famous soccer star has been embroiled in a heated feud with Adidas, after the Italian brand accused him of stealing its logo from a photo of a World Cup flag he used on a Nike ad.
The Italian footballer and former Paris Saint-Germain captain, who was also a member of the team, was the first-ever football player to appear in the FIFA-sanctioned Adidas World Cup ads, and he is said to have taken the photos of the flag as inspiration for the ad.
His new ad for Adidas World Cups shows him in an Adidas-sponsored stadium, but the iconic flag that he used as the backdrop does not show up.
Adidas claimed that the player’s use of the Adidas logo on the image of the World Cup is “a blatant plagiarism”.
“The Adidas logo was used by the player in his ad, not the flag,” said Adidas spokesman Mario Santo.
“The flag has been removed and will not appear in future ad campaigns.”
Adidas, which owns Nike and the Football Association of Ireland, has previously denied that it had taken credit for the Ronaldo image and its use was done with the consent of the player.
